Floating crane is a commonly used lifting equipment in ports. When operating in ports, floating cranes are usually installed on the deck of square ships. Different lifting methods can be used to configure ship cable equipment and living facilities to a certain extent, and can also be configured during the operation process.
Generally speaking, floating cranes use shore power supply. If self-propelled mode is adopted, a propulsion system needs to be installed. The overall structure is simple, with a small arm windshield area and easy manufacturing and installation. However, during lifting operations, the clearance height is small, the length of the lifting rope is long, and there is significant wear, which requires high demands on the operators. If there is an operational error, the boom will fall off, resulting in poor reliability.
Before the floating crane is loaded onto the vehicle, it is necessary to check whether the track is flat, whether there are defects, whether the track bolts are loose, clean the obstacles on the track, loosen the rail clamp (iron shoe) and fix it upwards. The detection power supply voltage should be 380V, with a variation range not exceeding ± 20%, and the start control switch should be zero before power transmission. After turning off the power, check if the metal structure is leaking. After confirming that there is no leakage, enter the operating room and turn off the power.
The floating crane needs to send out a signal and sound a warning bell before traveling, and the vehicle should run empty. Each brake, limiter, and torque limiter should be checked for sensitivity and reliability. If there is a malfunction, it can only work normally after troubleshooting. The operation of each controller should be carried out step by step in sequence. It is strictly prohibited to change direction beyond gear, and the controller should be set to zero. After the motor stops running, turn to another direction.
During the operation of a floating crane, it is prohibited to use two control consoles simultaneously. When using one console, the other console should be placed in the zero position. Guardians should pay special attention to the rope arrangement of the drum, which should be neat and symmetrical. Otherwise, it should be readjusted.
